Classes at YWB are not only about the physical workout. A committed yoga practice at YWB will create a healthy and spiritual balance. Each class is different, being designed by each instructor's own unique experiences, training, and personality. We invite you to be open to the possibilities of your practice, and to the balance it brings to your entire being. At Yoga-Well-Being, we practice the intention of yoga by treating everyone with love, respect, and compassion.
Students of all ages are welcome including children, as long as they are not disruptive.
Students with current student ID and Seniors over 55 receive 15% discount on unlimited class passes only. Not available for online purchase. Cannot be combined with other discounts like our new student deals.
Children of all ages are welcome to accompany their adult companion if they are not disruptive. 10 class packs for $110 and our unlimited monthly passes at our special $69 rate are available at half price for minor children when a parent or guardian purchases the same at full price. YOGA WELL BEING
This flagship class is based in the Hatha tradition and the moves are challenging yet simple and accessible to all. Class is open to all new and veteran yoga students, ages 12 to 112. Each class attempts to satisfy the physical and emotional requests of participants, so each class is different. Traditionally yoga was not about a physical workout, nor its physical benefits. While a regular practice strengthens the immune system, prevents disease and corrects many physical and mental health problems while shaping and toning the body, a committed practice actually transforms one in a much deeper way. Learn proper breathing and meditation. Classes are held in a warmed room.
At each class we touch on the concepts, philosophy, anatomy and connections to mind and spirit. Learn how to self-diagnose and self treat simple issues such as headaches, stress, shoulder, hip and back pain. This is a beginner-friendly class where experienced students will still learn something new each week.
MAT WORK & MEDITATION
Shed the stresses of the week and get ready for the weekend with long, deep stretches on the mat. Relax away the kinks and aches and start to incorporate meditation into your life. Learn to breathe correctly to control anxiety.
RECOVER & RESTORE
This is an all levels class. Starting with an energy creating Vinyasa style flow, the class will move into deep, slow and controlled stretching and breathing techniques to create calm and soothe your nerves.
HATHA & VINYASA
Hatha Flow combines into a flowing style to help increase awareness of the body. Start with a short warm up to wake up the body and calm the mind while relaxing tight muscles. Ease into Sun Salutations and end with a cool-down to continue opening the body and entering a space of safety and compassion. Not recommended for absolute beginners, pregnant women or those with serious injuries.
FLOW & LET GO (NOT OFFERED THIS QUARTER)
This upbeat Vinyasa class will begin with a slow warm up, and then move into a rhythmic and continuous flow – building lots of heat and momentum. Creative sequencing and fun variations will challenge you. A combination of movement and stillness, this class is designed to clear the mind, work the body and result in a relaxed state of calmness.
Whether you're stiff, stressed, or in a slump, come in and stretch your weary limbs in a restorative practice through gentle flows and deep, long stretches. While using a variety of props, most poses are done with little aid so you can bring them into your home practice easily. Recommended for most yoga practitioners.
FLOW & BUILD STRENGTH
This is a Power Vinyasa Flow, this class is designed to be both a cardio workout as well as a relaxing and healing practice. Allow your breath to lead you as you flow through postures in this energizing full body workout. For all ages and physical conditions, this yoga will help increase strength, flexibility, concentration and coordination.
Kundalini yoga is a self-realization practice as taught by Yogi Bhajan, this class helps detoxify our bodies and build the energetic centers of the body (chakras). This yoga involves periods of exertion designed to strengthen the body, mind, and willpower, balanced with relaxation and meditation accompanied by spiritual music. All levels welcome.
