A Balanced Life: Using the Wisdom of Ayurveda to Support Well-Being

Join us for an 8-week series which will teach you how to use the wisdom of Ayurveda to maintain and/or return to a balanced mind and body. Each week we will explore different topics using selected readings from 2 books - Ayurveda, The Science of Self-Healing and Healing Your Life: Lessons on the Path of Ayurveda.

You will learn:

  • Introduction to elemental theory, doshas and the causes for dis-ease

  • How inputs to all five senses cause balance or imbalance

  • How Ayurvedic Dinacharya (daily routine) supports natural healing processes

  • Hands-on demonstration of self-care practices (neti pot, eye wash, tongue cleaning, and more)

Required materials (included in cost of course):

  • Ayurveda, The Science of Self-Healing: A Practical Guide by Dr. Vasant Lad

  • Healing Your Life: Lessons on the Path of Ayurveda by Dr. Marc Halpern

Additional materials (participation in practices is recommended but not required):

  • Neti pot and neti salt

  • Tongue cleaner

  • Eye wash cup and rose hydrosol

  • Massage oil

  • Swishing oil

  • Journal

  • Small spritzer bottle (1-2 oz.)

Kits are available for $58, or individual items can be purchased before class. Items can also be brought from home if already available.
